Child safety standards
People by Place has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. These standards apply to the People by Place mobile apps, website, participating organizations, and organization-managed communications.
Prohibited conduct and content
People by Place prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, trafficking or exploitation of children, and any attempt to create, share, request, store, or facilitate this content or conduct. Participating organizations and users may not use People by Place to endanger a child or evade child-safety laws.
Report a concern
Use Report a safety concern in the app’s Profile screen or email hello@peoplebyplace.com. Put “child safety” in the subject. Do not forward or attach suspected CSAM. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Reports may be escalated to the participating organization only when appropriate for safety and legal response.
How we respond
We review child-safety reports promptly, preserve access controls and relevant records, restrict or terminate involved accounts and organizations when warranted, remove prohibited content within our control, and take other measures required by our standards and applicable law. We do not conduct vigilante investigations or ask reporters to redistribute illegal material.
Legal reporting and cooperation
When we obtain actual knowledge of apparent CSAM, People by Place follows applicable preservation and reporting obligations, including reporting confirmed matters to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or the appropriate regional authority when required. We respond to valid legal process and cooperate with authorized child-safety investigations while protecting unrelated personal information.
