Terms of use
These terms explain the basic rules for using People by Place.
Who may use the service
You must be at least 13 years old, able to agree to these terms, and invited or otherwise authorized by a participating organization. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity performed through it.
Permitted use
Use People by Place only for lawful, nonpartisan civic, community, nonprofit, membership, or organizing activities authorized by your participating organization. Do not use the service for harassment, discrimination, stalking, credit, employment, insurance, housing, or any purpose prohibited by law or a data provider’s terms.
Contacts and organization data
You may provide only information you are authorized to use. Contact matching does not establish identity or residence with certainty. Review suggested matches before acting, respect opt-outs, and report incorrect or sensitive information promptly.
Service availability
Features may change, contain errors, or be unavailable. Do not rely on the service as the sole source for legal deadlines, district eligibility, emergency communication, or other high-impact decisions.
Suspension and termination
We may restrict or end access when necessary to protect people, data, participating organizations, or the service. You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion through our account-deletion page.
